Fremantle is well-known as a port, since the port was founded in 1829, and is 16 kms from the city, it went through restoration when Fremantle hosted the America's Cup in1987, and is full of sidewalk alfresco cafe's, giving the place a unique character in which to party. There are over 150 National Trust classified historic buildings, some that was built by convicts giving you a great feeling of a 19th century port.

Some of the best beaches in the world are found here, swim in the cystral clear water of the Indian Ocean with white powdery sand and find that secluded spot to sun bake as there is so much beach to enjoy.
